PIXELS Ultimate Edition In Development!

I have began working on the new version of PIXELS that has been upgraded with help from everybody's comments! It will be a separate file, but I am still debating on giving it it's own page (probably not, though). It should be done soon, but I'm currently doing stuff in marching band, and school starts next week so I don't have alot of spare time for stuff.

I have upgraded mostly everything that you guys wanted changed, so the old background is finally gone! I changed some stuff and make some parts of the game easier and improved some stuff that didn't make sense. For example, that one slightly lighter green color that appears in Match Mode, I changed it to white so now each color is easily distinguishable from one another, which makes that mode much easier.

I also implemented my new file checking thingy to make sure all files in the game are there and also to keep incorrect files out of the game, like if you uploaded a file that was not designed for this game.

I also made Jump Mode so much easier by making Pixel Man able to jump an extra block higher, as well as making some levels easier. I also finished the level editor for Jump Mode, so now you can make and play any level you want, as hard or as easy as you want. The best part it, the level editors do not need to be unlocked, so you can just boot up the game any time and just start making a level. This could also be useful if you want to get used to the mechanics of a level before even unlocking it for practice or something.

Some other small things were fixed, such as some animations being off-timed (unintentionally), and some weird bugs. I also reduced loading times between menus by simply optimizing stuff and and loading stuff separately instead of all at once, meaning only one menu is loaded. In the Jam version, the title screen also loads music, reloads sound effects, and loads the settings menu all at once, making it a longer loading time. But with the version I'm working on now, only the necessary stuff is loaded in. It's not too crazy, but it is helpful.

As suggested by a couple comments is whenever you beat a level or game over, it would normally return you all the way to the main title screen, leaving you with more menus to go through. But now, when you win or game over, you get sent straight back to the level select screen, making it quicker to return to a level. Speaking of easier, I make locked levels' buttons transparent so you can clearly see what level you are currently on (haha get it because I said "clearly"?).

After this is done, I may either continue working on Notecard, or Baldi's Basics Plus 2D 2.0.
